Activity 2: make valentine’s Heart cards for your friends
We designed our valentine’s day hearts card for her friends. She got inspiration from her past crafts. It was so lovely to see all her creative ideas and she worked so hard to write all words and paint all pictures by herself for a whole week. Ask your kids whether they can think of more ways to make a heart! Use your imagination!
Activity 3: Valentine’s Decoration
Please download the free heart template printable and make Valentine’s decoration anywhere in your house. Follow the instruction inside and decorate valentine’s hearts with your children.
You can either print it as a color page or insert color cardstock into printer.
Ask some questions for your children:
why do you love me? and do you know why I love you? what kind of things I do to make you think that I love you? what kind of things I do to make you think that I don’t love you?

推荐年龄：4-7岁
1. 《the biggest valentine ever》
两个小老鼠因为做情人节贺卡产生矛盾，决定各做各的，不再当好朋友。可是当他们和好如初学会与彼此相处之后，他们在一起做出了最大最漂亮的情人节卡片。
2. 《somebody loves you, MR.Hatch》
MR Hatch没有朋友，每天都是一个人。郁郁寡欢。直到有一天意外收到一个邮寄错的桃心包裹，里面全是糖。他想要去找出到底是谁邮寄的包裹。于是感受到爱的MR Hatch 开始关心生活中的每一个人，交到了朋友。但却有一天，邮递员告诉他这个包裹邮寄到了错误的地址。MR Hatch伤心的觉得原来世界上还是没有人爱我。于是又变成原来的郁郁寡欢。可朋友看到伤心的MR Hatch却给了他一个大大的惊喜。让他感受到“somebody loves you”。
四岁的宝宝可能不能完全读懂背后的意思。但是却是非常好的一本书。读完让人有所思考。怎么才能让别人感受到爱？自己又如何表达爱？怎样爱自己也同时值得别人爱我？
叙事角度很创意。告诉大家情人节的含义不是粉色，桃心，巧克力等表面行为。而是内心最原始的爱意。整本书是叙事，并且语言写的不是太简单流畅。对于5岁以下可能不是太适合。
4. 《Love is 》
一个小女孩有一只小鸭子，从小和小鸭子形影不离，是最好的朋友。可是小鸭子长大了，要走了，小女孩很伤心。爱是什么？爱是陪伴你成长，帮助你做最好的自己。
5. 《Dolly Parton》
一个小女孩家里很穷，没有大衣。妈妈用各种废布用心做了一件大衣。小女孩穿到学校遭到嘲笑，她却很骄傲的告诉大家她的故事以及妈妈的爱。小女孩觉得，我们虽然没有钱，但是却很富有！
这本书的叙事角度很好，文字简单，让小朋友能从另一个角度思考“到底什么才是rich, 什么才是poor”?
6. 《Roses are pink, your feet really stink》
一个小男孩要做情人节卡片给同学。可是他写了两封很不友好的诗给对方。但却发现对方却写了很友好的诗给自己。他们解除误会之后都成为了好朋友。
这本书非常推荐给在上学的小朋友，每年给同学做贺卡。这些情景在书里都有。也许你也有不想给某个同学做卡片的时候，那么到底该怎么做呢？
